The Connecticut Weekender is a blog dedicated to giving Connecticut residents and visitors ideas of things to see and do across the state. Every week we’ll provide you with new event listings spanning everything from festivals, carnivals, concerts, art exhibits, lectures, cultural events, fundraisers, social gatherings and more.
In addition to event listings, we’ll provide you with ideas of things you can do any time, such as hiking the Appalachian Trail, taking sailing lessons, or visiting one of Connecticut’s wineries.
This blog will be written by a number of bloggers, including myself, who love the state they live in and are passionate about sharing their ideas with others. Our focus will be to share ideas from our own personal perspective, rather than the traditional tourist guide material you find elsewhere such as on government websites.
We encourage our readers to contribute ideas by leaving comments, sending us email, or even by becoming a guest author. The more people we have participating the better this website will become.
Since this website is beginning without any funding, things might be slow to start.
