McLaughlin Vineyards is a family-owned and operated vineyard and winery located on 160 acres along the Housatonic River. Minutes from the quant village of Sandy Hook, the grounds at McLaughlin are full of bucolic charm. Flower gardens surround the winery and tasting room, a converted 19th century barn. In all directions are forested hills full of majestic maple trees. The winery is open year round for wine tasting, tours and seminars. Guests are invited to spend the day exploring the many hiking trails, picnic on the lawns, or just unwind with a glass of wine on the garden terrace.
McLaughlin Vineyards is committed to producing wines that reflect the terrier of the Northeast, and thus use only grapes from this region. (Source: Connecticut Wine Trail Brochure 8/08)
