Gouveia Vineyards is the joyful realization of a dream long cherished by the proprietor ~ to bring in some measure of remembrances of his village in Portugal and his grandfather’s beautiful vineyards here to America.
Located high on 140 sun kissed acres, this jewel of a winery, built of stone and old timbers, commands a spectacular 360 degree view of lush woodlands, open fields, pristine hundred year old farms and, of course, the vineyard  itself.

Built of stone and old timbers, the winery building is a bucolic masterpiece that hints of Old World charm and of a time long past. Visitors who come to the winery for a wine tasting or a glass or bottle of wine are welcome to bring their own picnic lunch, but please, no other beverages.

From the moment the winery has opened, it has become a place that people have visited to get away from their stresses. Sometimes visitors like to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine by our double sided fireplace or outside on our patios to take in the spectacular setting sun. Sometimes three or four generations of families will sit at a table by the window and play Monopoly while sharing cheese and crackers. Sometimes a person will come in by themselves and sit at a corner table to read a book. No matter what each visitor comes to the winery for, they leave with a lighter step and the chance to dream their own impossible dreams. (Source: CTWine.com)
