The Derby Greenway is a recreational trail open to walkers, joggers, bikers, and pets. The trail runs along a protective dike that lines the banks of the Naugatuck and Housatonic Rivers in Derby. Currently, the trail is about 1.7 miles and extends from Main Street and Bridge Street to Division Street.

The Division Street entrance is marked by the historic National Humane Alliance Fountain and a surrounding beautiful brick plaza and the new Derby Hall of Fame, benches and trees.

The trail passes underneath the RT 8 bridge, where there is a public boat ramp that provides excellent access for boaters and fishers.

The Greenway is scheduled to be extended in 2010, and will connect to the neighboring towns of Ansonia and Orange.
