The Westport River Gallery is now exhibiting a collection of original oil paintings by international French Masters Elisabeth Estivalet and Stephane Bulan. Both artists works are collected worldwide, and both have had numerous international shows and won numerous awards.
Provence’s rolling farmlands, sun-drenched coasts and looming valleys have always been a source of inspiration to the great painters of history, including Estivalet. Bulan’s subject matter is impeccably the south of France. His seascapes present silent horizons and one can feel the breeze of the ocean beautifully translated by his use of textures and his application of his oils. Even with his intense colors, Bulan incorporates a certain liberty and serenity in each of his canvases.
