New Haven Health and Activism Festival this Weekend

The student organization PeacebyPeace will be hosting a large event on the New Haven Green on this this Sunday, April 25th. The event intends to open discussions regarding how we can better our community and help those in Israel and the Palestinian Territories specifically through the medium of medicine.

New Haven, CT – The student organization PeacebyPeace will be hosting a large event on the New Haven Green on this this Sunday, April 25th.

The event intends to open discussions regarding how we can better our community and help those in Israel and the Palestinian Territories specifically through the medium of medicine.

Speakers, performers and activities include: Ex-Combatants from Israel and Palestine who have thrown
down their weapons to work toward peace, Mayor John DeStefano, Jr., The Afro-Semitic Experience, The Yale Bhangra Team, The Yale Belly Dance Society, Ice Brothers, The Dukes Men of Yale, Trilogy, an Art Exhibit by Health as a Bridge to Peace, FREE Diabetes, hypertension, and glaucoma screenings, 20 different tables hosted by local groups and clubs, and an opportunity to paint a billboard that will be propped on a highway in CT!

There will also be a moonbounce and cotton candy for the whole family. Finally, in coordination with Christian Community Action, the organizers will collect canned food and clothing donations for the homeless in our community.
