
Event to benefit the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center
MYSTIC, CT – The 54th annual Community Carol Sing at Mystic Seaport will be held Sunday, December 20, from 3 – 4 p.m.
Admission to the Museum is free that day with the donation of a canned good item. All contributions will be donated to and distributed by the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.
The Mystic Seaport carolers will perform a special holiday concert in the Greenmanville Church at 2 p.m. At 3 p.m., the carol sing will commence in Anchor Circle led by former Ledyard High School choral director, Jamie Spillane, and backed by the Mystic Seaport carolers and a brass quartet.
Additionally, the Museum’s Treworgy Planetarium will present “The Star of Bethlehem” at 12, 1 and 2 p.m. The free program explores the winter skies, merging science, mythology, religious observance, winter traditions and music. Visitors are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to starting time.
Mystic Seaport – The Museum of America and the Sea – is the nation’s leading maritime museum. Visitors can explore American maritime history firsthand while climbing aboard historic tall ships, strolling through a re-created 19th-century coastal village or watching a working preservation shipyard in action. The Museum is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Admission is $24 for adults and $15 for youth (ages 6-17). Children 5 and under and Museum members are admitted for free.
