Santa Claus dons special scuba gear to join the Aquarium dive team to help dispel some of the myths about sharks. He’ll also pose at the exhibit window with kids for a fun photo opp. Times: 12:15 & 2:15 p.m. on most Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays in December.

The Maritime Aquarium10 N. Water Street, Norwalk, CTThe only Aquarium focused on Long Island Sound presents sharks, seals, river otters, sea turtles, jellies and more than 100 other species from Long Island Sound and its watershed, as well as three touch tanks, a “Go Fish!” exhibit focusing on the cultural aspects of fishing on the Sound, a not-behind- the-scenes Marine Lab, popular “Meerkats” and “Dragons” exhibits, and an Ocean Playspace for toddlers. Harbor seal feedings at 11:45 a.m. and 1:45 & 3:45 p.m. daily. Plus, Connecticut’s largest IMAX ® movie theater and study cruises onto Long Island Sound.
