Event Details

Saturday events:

American Encampment at Keeler Tavern. Mingle through the camp of the 5th CT Regiment; see the original cannonball lodged in the Tavern during the battle; enjoy period music, meet artisans. 9 a.m.
British Encampment at Ballard Park. Mingle through the camp of His Majesty’s 54th Regiment of foot, witness live musket ball smelting, drills of the British soldiers, and lifestyles of the encampment. Each soldier will be in full character. 9 a.m.
Meet Benedict Arnold and Sybil Ludington at Keeler Tavern. Meet Benedict Arnold and other notable characters who will share their perspective on the Battle of Ridgefield. 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Walking Tours. Free hourly tours will be guided by local historians. Along the way participants will learn about the actual battle, historic homes, churches and other landmarks. 9, 19, 11 a.m.; 3 and 4 p.m.
Colonial Music at the Library. Musicians clad in colonial garb will entertain with period tunes while spectators gather for the beginning of the Battle. 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Black Tie Gala. 6 pm.

Events will take place around Ridegfield.
