Join us as we embark on a magical journey and celebrate the Christmas season. The Santa Express and Northern Lights Limited are by far our most popular trains of the year, running every weekend (Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays) from the day after thanksgiving all the way up to the weekend before Christmas Eve. All trains are about 1 hour and 20 minutes in length.

The Santa Express are our earlier trains, where parents and kids alike are able to hop on board for the opportunity to visit with Santa Claus. As the trains travels through the cold winter wilderness, passengers will be able to visit with Santa and play with his Elves. Each child will also get a special gift from Santa’s own toy bag.

Santa Express:

This service is scheduled early @ 12pm (limited days) and 2pm most days other services are running.

First class service amenities include:

• Seating in our 1891 Rutland combine car with plush seating (limited to 32 reserved seats) seasonally decorated inside and out
• Longer visits with each child by Santa
• Visit by Santa with hand delivered gifts
• Hot chocolate service in Special Travel Mugs
• Elf leads sing along to Christmas Carols
• Visit with Mrs. Claus and the elves
• Gift Bag with additional information and goodies

We ask that no outside food or drink be brought on this car due to the historic nature of the car.

Coach Service:

• Comfortable seating in our Regular excursion coaches seasonally decorated inside and out
• Visit by Santa with hand delivered gifts
• Elf leads sing along to Christmas Carols
• Visit with Mrs. Claus and the elves

The Northern Lights Limited are our evening trains, and is similar to our earlier Santa Express trains, but with some added touch. Leaving under the cover of nightfall, experience the magic as the lights inside and out of each car are lit, illuminating the entire train in a soft, cheerful glow. Upon departure, you will be taken directly to the North Pole, picking up Santa and Mrs. Claus for all to see. Once on board the train, Santa and Mrs. Claus will take turns visiting with all those on board as the train slowly chugs along through the night. While Santa is visiting each of all the good boys and girls on the train, his Elves will keep you busy dancing and singing along to the music. Each child will get an extra special gift from Santa’s toy bag.

Northern Lights Limited:

This service is scheduled @ 5pm and 7pm most days other services are running.
