Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks unite communities behind the American Cancer Society’s efforts to save lives from breast cancer. Making Strides of Greater Hartford reflects its own community, here’s what you can expect at our event.
Come together with survivors, caregivers, men and women from all walks of life who are passionate about saving lives from breast cancer. Celebrate your shared efforts. Inspire each other to carry on. And take comfort in the knowledge that because of your dedication, no one walks alone.
Check-in opens at 8:30am, and the walk begins at 10am. Be sure that your team is ready to go at least 15 minutes before your designated start time.
Survivors, check in when you arrive at the walk. Please fill out a paper registration form or sign up online.
The survivor area is a special area for survivors and the caregivers attending with them. We include both survivors and caregivers to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible. You’ll find important information about American Cancer Society programs and services geared specifically for you.
We all walk together, but our event is not a race. Stop whenever you want or need to. You absolutely do not need to complete the entire walk if you are unable. Upon finishing the walk, please join us for entertainment and water. The walk concludes when the final walker crosses the finish line.
