The 2017 Greenwich Wine Food Festival kicks off Friday with the Master Chef Wine Dinner, honoring Scott Conant (“Chopped”, “Top Chef”), with special guest Adam Richman and featuring a performance by platinum-selling southern rock band Big Head Todd and the Monsters. On Saturday, celebrity chefs, including Mario Batali, Scott Conant, Alex Guarnaschelli and Adam Richman, will conduct cooking demos, book signings and live interviews. The Grand Tasting tent will feature tastings from more than 150 of the area’s finest food, wine and spirits vendors. Guests can visit the Bud & Burger, Empire City Casino, South of the Border Fiesta tents and (new this year) Tailgate Party. Once again, the 6th Annual Burger Battle will be hosted by Richman with judges Conant and Guarnaschelli, and the 3rd Annual Top Bartender Showdown will provide competition between top area mixologists. The Festival will close with a performance by Grammy Award-winning band Train (“Play That Song,” “Drops of Jupiter,” “Hey Soul Sister,” and “Meet Virginia”).
