The Meriden Daffodil Festival began as a community event 40 years ago and has grown into one of Connecticut’s premier celebrations. With food, crafts, music, fireworks, amusements and a spectacular parade, the Meriden Daffodil Festival is a springtime funfest for old and young, couples and singles, families and friends.

Held each year the last week in April, this Meriden, Connecticut, the festival will celebrate its 40th year in 2018 with “food, flowers, fireworks, and fun.” The staging of the festival each year involves 300 volunteers, with 3,000 people marching in the ever popular, “Daffodils on Parade,” which includes local residents and school children, school bands and a variety of local groups riding in hometown built floats extolling their organization and the theme of the parade.  Amidst the 650,000 blooming daffodils in Hubbard Park, visitors will enjoy a juried arts and crafts sale, and free musical entertainment on 3 stages.
