The HMF FitKids Run will take place on the soccer fields inside the Simsbury Performing Arts Center
The new post-race party is highlighted by a delicious hot bRUNch served alongside refreshing Samuel Adams craft beer.
Participants in all race distances earn a short-sleeve race technical shirt and a custom finisher medal.
Give Back: Please help give back to the community. Donations of nonperishable food will be collected at Packet Pickup through the HMF Can drive to benefit Gifts of Love Food Bank in Avon. The food donation drive is supported by Stop & Shop.

The 5K offers competitive and casual runners a great 3.1 mile race while also welcoming walkers and families with strollers on the relatively flat and scenic course. The 10K is a double loop with long straightaways, offering a fast course with stunning ocean views along Pequot Avenue.
There is a HMF FitKids run at 9:30 a.m.

A flat, sprint distance race through scenic shoreline communities of Niantic and East Lyme, the Niantic Bay Triathlon is a great race for beginner or experienced triathletes. Swim a 1/2 mile in the calm of Niantic Bay without waves or strong currents. Bike an 11.4 mile loop through East Lyme with water views and long straightaways along flat, shaded roads. Run 3.2 miles along the oceanfront area lined with cheering spectators before a spectacular beach finish.
Team Relay registration for 2 or 3 members is an option to enjoy the tri experience with the help of some friends. Additionally, an Aquabike registration is also available for those that do not want to or cannot participate in the run.

Each race participant will earn a short sleeve technical shirt. After the race, enjoy grab and go snacks and fresh fruit in the cove.

#RiMaCONN Grab your best running buddies and join this epic relay adventure! Travel through 95 miles of southern New England on a network of scenic multi-use trails of the East Coast Greenway. It’s a totally unique race that will get your team from Rhode Island through Massachusetts to Connecticut by the most eco-friendly transportation method ever – running. Be part of a 6-member team or take on more miles in a 3-person ultra team.
This end-of-summer challenge will feature locally sourced food and ice cold local beer. Sweet swag for each participant includes a commemorative race shirt, a reusable water bottle, custom goodr sunglasses and a finisher’s medal worthy of your epic accomplishment.
The race starts at the Blackstone State Park, Lincoln, RI, and winds through 20 towns in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, passing along rivers, forests and along shaded trails. You’ll begin with a wave start on Saturday morning and cross the finish line in the evening with a modified post-race party on the Connecticut River at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza in Hartford.
90% (up from 85% in 2021!) of the course runs on the Blackstone River Bikeway, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Air Line Trail, Hop River Trail and Charter Oak Greenway. A small portion (10%) of the course travels on roads.

A spectacular beach race featuring stunning views! The redesigned half marathon course runs into the pristine neighborhoods of Watch Hill first before entering Weekapaug and running along the coastline and through the picturesque beach community. The Surftown Half Marathon, presented by Westerly Hospital, is a destination race not to miss, with additional distance options available.
The 2-person relay gives runners a chance to experience part of the awesome Surftown Half course split with a buddy for 5.1 mile and 8 mile legs. Relay participants exchange within walking distance of the pre/post-race area.
The 5K race offers a 3.1 mile beachy run to remember! The flat and fast course travels out-and-back along Winnapaug Pond and the Misquamicut beach community and starts shortly after the 13.1 mile race kicks off.
All participants earn a funky beach-themed finisher medal, a high quality short sleeve technical shirt and a post-race party by the beach with a variety of fresh food and an awards ceremony post-race.
NEW in 2022 – Take on the Shoreline Challenge! Run any distance at the Surftown in addition to either distance at the Hartford HealthCare Mystic Half Marathon & 10K on May 15; and at the L M Summer Stride 5K & 10K on July 16 to earn the special Shoreline Challenge medal.

Jonnycake Center provides food, clothing, educational and financial assistance to those in need in the Westerly-Chariho area.
