Warrior Dash coming to CT

This mud-crawling, fire-leaping extreme 5K from hell is not for the faint of heart. Described as the ultimate event for thrill seeking athletes, you work hard and then celebrate even harder after the event with a festival filled with food, beer, music, and muddy warriors! They even throw in a fuzzy Warrior Helmet , t-shirt and finishing medal for participants.
Friends who completed the Dash a few months ago described the environment as one of companionship and teamwork. It is not uncommon for participants to lend a helping hand to boost you over the Great Warrior Wall or carefully maneuver the cargo nets. Other obstacles that I am excited and terrified about include the Horizontal Hike, Teetering Traverse, Barricade Breakdown (which includes crawling through mud under barbed wire), and the Tunnel of Terror. The best part is, Warrior Dash is a proud supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. Each participant has the oppotunity to become a St. Judes Warrior, where they are asked to funraise a certain amount of money in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. St. Judes is one of the world’s premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other deadly childhood diseases. It costs $1.7 million a day to operate St. Jude, where families never pay for the care they receive. By becoming a St. Jude Warrior and fundraising, you will inspire hope in children who need it the most, the patients of St. Jude.
