I don’t know about you, but my perfect weekend cannot be without a basket of delicious chicken wings. Connecticut has some amazing and even legendary wing places that most people have never heard of. I compiled a bucket list of places to check out. Some have crazy flavors that will rock your taste buds; while others have the perfect traditional wing that you dream of.
1. TK’s American Cafe – Danbury
Tk’s cafe is rated #1 sports bar in the Danbury area, how could you go wrong? They have 76 flavors of wings, 50 beers, 30 flat screen tv’s and of course, amazing wings. If you’re a sports superfan, you need to make your way over the TK’s for a game or two and enjoy some of the best wings in CT!

3. Orange Ale House – Orange
Orange Ale House is a great spot for a weekend night out. I used to make frequent trips here back when I went to school in the neighboring town of New Haven. I can attest that their wings are delicious and the atmosphere is top notch. You can enjoy some music, bar games, and great food when you stop by.
Fun Fact: I played trivia here one night and crushed it; I won a sweet brewery chalkboard. King of trivia.
4. Dew Drop Inn – Derby
Drum roll please- The winner of Connecticut Magazine’s 2017 Best Wings Reader’s Choice & Expert Picks is non-other than, the Dew Drop Inn. They have a TON of flavor options and each one is better than the last. You can even get peanut butter and jelly! The Dew Drop Inn needs to introduction, the name speaks for itself if you want great wings, you know where to go.

They have $2 domestic drafts all day, every day! Plus, once you finish your food you can walk around and check out all the cool shops pat Mohegan Sun.
6. Inishmore Pub – Colchester
Named after an island in Ireland, the Inishmore Pub was the brainchild of two owners that spent a lot of their time wandering in and out of the finest pubs in Ireland. They wanted to bring back a piece of their travels back to their hometown of Colchester. If you go, I highly recommend the garlic butter parm sauce!
7. Archie Moore’s – New Haven, Fairfield, Milford, Wallingford, Derby
Archie Moore’s was another frequent stop on my weekends back in college. I loved heading the to New Haven location and sitting down at the bar with a basket of Raspberry Bourbon Wings. I know what you’re thinking, “woah, that sounds weird.” I promise you will love it. When you visit, make sure you at least give the raspberry sauce a chance, have I ever steered you wrong before?
8. Knuckleheads – Wallingford
Located in the center of Wallingford, Knuckleheads offers their customers a wide range of 30 beers, and some of the best food this side of the Mississippi. The Red Rock Cafe is a favorite among the community. They are another great spot if you are an adventurous sauce taster. They deliver to surrounding towns so you can enjoy their amazing wings in the comfort of your own home.
10. Bonfire Grille – Milford
Bonfire Grille stole my heart with their buffalo gorgonzola sauce. Can there be anything better? They have a great space to relax and enjoy awesome food. 13. Hoodoo Brown BBQ – Ridgefield
Hoodoo Brown BBQ prepares their wings a little different. Instead of frying their wings, they smoke them. This helps the meat fall right off the bone. You have your choice of buffalo, BBQ, citrus bourbon teriyaki, garlic parmesan, and cajun’. Drop by to enjoy some Texas inspired food choices.
14. Arooga’s – Uncasville, Shelton
Arooga’s has a few locations in CT but I am most familiar with the one in Uncasville. They have such a modern-looking restaurant that takes sports bar to a whole new level. Their menu, in general, is awesome but we’re here to talk about wings. I recently challenged my father to a wing eating competition here at Arooga’s. I lost. Check out their website for more locations and wings flavors.
