Everyone loves a great breakfast sandwich. Whether you prefer bacon, egg, and cheese, sausage, just egg, or something wild like kielbasa, the amazing restaurants in Cheshire, CT have something for every taste. Here are the top spots for breakfast sandwiches in Cheshire according to local residents.

If we know one thing about people, it’s that they are particular about what they like. If you’re a coffee lover or a craft beer fiend, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Another thing that a lot of people are passionate about? Their breakfast. And it makes sense why: If you’re used to eating the same delicious thing every day for breakfast, settling for something else can throw your whole day out of whack.

Here in Cheshire, where our offices are located, we have a lot of places to choose from when it comes to breakfast. We thought that it would be interesting to ask residents of Cheshire to tell us where they like to go for that most ubiquitous of breakfast foods: The breakfast sandwich.

And the results? Well, we’ll let the results speak for themselves. Below, in no particular order, are some of the responses that we got from passionate breakfast enthusiasts in Cheshire.

Shef’s Bagels

Shef’s Bagels is located at 1040 S. Main Street in Cheshire and specializes in making hand-rolled bagels and topping them with unique cream cheeses and other kinds of sandwich toppings. They’re one of the most popular breakfast stops according to the results of our survey.

What does the crowd recommend? The overwhelming favorite of respondents to our survey was the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on an Everything Bagel.

Kaitlyn said the way Shef’s bagels freshly cooks their eggs makes their bacon, egg, and cheese a must. Others say it’s the hand rolled bagels that really makes the sandwich great.

Sarah said,  “It’s fresh! Everything from the bagel to the egg is made to order, however you like it!”

Though the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese came out on top, there wasn’t just one favorite sandwich among our survey participants. The Bacon, Egg, and Cheese also topped the list, as did the Ham, Egg, and Cheese on a Spinach Bagel

Bagelicious

Bagelicious is located at 945 S. Main Street in Cheshire is known for, well, their bagels. They’ve become famous locally for their French Toast Bagels (which, I have to say, sound delicious) as well as their Cheddar Bagels (which sound similarly delicious).

What do fans of Bagelicious recommend? The crowd favorite was the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a Buffalo Bagel.

One anonymous respondent said they are in love with the buffalo bagel.

Kristan said that the combination of scrambled eggs and the freshness of Bagelicious’ bagels makes the shop a top contender for a great breakfast sandwich.

Michael’s Deli

Michael’s Deli just so happens to be right across the street from our offices, located at 55 Elm Street, Cheshire. They serve everything you’d expect from a deli, and are popular for both the breakfast and lunch crowds.

The winning breakfast sandwich from Michael’s? That would have to be their take on the classic Bacon, Egg, and Cheese.

One anonymous respondent said that the delightfully buttery toasted roll, paired with the gooeyness of the egg and cheese and the crispness of the bacon, made this the king of breakfast sandwiches in town.

Most others also talked highly of the freshness and quality of ingredients used at Michael’s. Thick bacon, freshly-baked rolls, high-quality cheese…What’s not to love about that?

The Notch

The Notch is located at 905 Waterbury Road in Cheshire. The restaurant serves both breakfast and lunch foods and has done so since they opened all the way back in 1921. (According to a sign hanging in their store, they’ve been the “Talk of the Town” ever since.)

What does the crowd recommend from The Notch? The Kielbasa, Egg, and Cheese took the crown here, though other sandwiches all received glowing reviews.

The quality of the ingredients is really something that stands out here, according to respondents. Ruth said “the buttered hard roll and freshly-cooked eggs” set The Notch apart from all other competitors. Another respondent said that the kielbasa is to die for.
