The name says it all. Not only does this art sports complex consists of two ice rinks (one NHL size and one Olympic size), this center also is the home to the Hartford Wolf Pack. Adding to this impressive list are 6 hockey programs, the largest adult hockey league in CT (CHL), and a nationally and internationally recognized figure skating program. Need more? There is also a 33,000 square foot Fitness Center with pool and several other sports related businesses. The facility also houses the New England Athletic Club and JenSkates. Make sure to also check out the public skate sessions for $7 per person admission and $3 rental.

For a regular session, adult tickets are $9, children under 12 are $7, seniors are $4 and all rentals are $4 each. What’s special about this skating arena is its Friday night DJ Skate experience. For just a $10 admission and $4 rentals, you and your family and friends can join the one of a kind disco skating session. There is a sound system right on the ice so you can make special requests and dance around the rink listening to today’s hottest hits. If you’re looking for something more, the arena also offers figure skating and hockey classes for both children and adults. With a variety of hockey and figure skating programs, the Enfield Twin Rinks has something for everyone. This arena offers an ice skating school as part of the Learn To Skate USA and Beyond program, designed for all skaters (figure, hockey, and speedskating) to learn the basics of ice skating. You can also just skate at your leisure during the public skate weekend hours (Saturdays 7:30-8:50pm and Sundays 3:50-5:20pm) for $8 per person and $3 skate rental. Individuals who are 40 years old or older can enjoy stick time and scrimmages every Sunday from 7:10-8:40pm (full equipment is required). Terry Conners Ice Rink is located in the beautiful Cove Island Park in Stamford and has been in the community since 1973. This rink offers affordable hockey, figure skating and basic skills programs for all residents. Additionally, it is home to Stamford Youth Hockey, Skating Club of Southern Connecticut, Terry Conners Synchronized Skating Teams, and Stamford, Westhill and Trinity High School Hockey Teams as well as Stamford Girls High Hockey Team. There is also public skating available for $8 for adults, $6 for children and students, and $4 rentals. Make sure to stop by the snack bar for all of your food and drink needs while at the rink.

Known as the “coolest place in town,” this Westport ice rink is a great place to bring your friends and family for some outdoor ice skating. For an all day pass, admission is just $11 for adults and $8 for children (prices vary with the Westport Parks and Rec handpass). If you need rentals, they are $5. The rink is open every day until early March and can be viewed on the live webcam online before you go. The best parts about this ice skating rink is beautiful view of Long Island sound and the killer sunset views.

Home to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, this rink gives you the chance of skating where the pros practice. Public skating is available at this location almost each of the week and is $7 for adults and $5 for children. The skate rental is $5 and is offered from an infant size 6 to an adult size 14. Aside from public ice skating, there are also a multitude of lessons and groups for adults and children to join. Specifically for adults, there is an instructional program designed to create a fun and challenging environment. In these classes you will learn the basics of stick and puck handling, skating and balance, and game strategy. Another fun part of this arena is its Icerobics for those looking to burn some calories while skating.
