47" Striped Bass Housatonic RiverMy nephew John Curran caught this monster striped bass on July 25, 2012. He was in my little dory using our favorite method, slow trolling the tube & worm on 14lb. test using light tackle. This monster bass was landed in front to the Stratford light house (point no point) at the mouth of the Housatonic River.
Fish netted at 7:05am

Length: 47.25 inches
Girth: 24 inches
Pounds 41.24

weighed and measured at Stratford Bait & Tackle.
