Wizard of Oz
Connecticut’s professional regional theatre, The Summer Theatre of New Canaan, presents The WIZARD OF OZ! This 70-minute adaptation of the classic story has been specifically designed for kids and young families by our Theatre for Young Audience.

Featuring the songs: We’re off to see the Wizard, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, If I Only had a Brain, and many more!
So click your heels together and join Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Lion as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road through the magical Land of Oz!  Picnics, parties and munckins are always welcome!

Connecticut’s professional regional theatre, The Theatre for Young Audience at the Summer Theatre of New Canaan, presents PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL!

When Pinkalicious Pinkerton eats one too many pink cupcakes, she catches a serious case of “Pinkititis” and turns pink from head to toe! Will her broccoli-eating brother be able to help cure her before it’s too late? Find out in this colorful, 70-minute adventure based on the popular book by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann.

The musical’s theme of healthy eating is sure to strike a chord among parents and picky eaters of all ages, but is best suited for cupcake lovers 3 and up!  Be sure to come dressed in your favorite pink clothes! And Pinkalicous Parties are always welcome!

MY FAIR LADY is the standard by which all other Broadway shows are measured. Based on Shaw’s play and Pascal’s movie “Pygmalion,” with book, music and lyrics by Lerner and Loewe, MY FAIR LADY features such classic songs as, Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?, With a Little Bit of Luck, The Rain in Spain, I Could Have Danced All Night, On the Street Where You Live, Get Me to the Church on Time and I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face, it’s no wonder everyone-not just Henry Higgins-falls in love with Eliza Doolittle!  Running time is 140 minutes.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Connecticut’s professional regional theatre, The Summer Theatre of New Canaan, presents JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT!

This Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical is based on the Biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colors.  Joseph is the favorite son of Jacob, but his siblings resent the attention Jacob showers upon him and sell him into slavery.  Eventually the adored son finds himself in jail; however, his favorable interpretation of the dreams of the Pharaoh win him the admiration of the all-powerful leader, and soon Joseph is one of the most powerful men in Egypt.  Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to pop and rock ‘n’ roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless.  Running time is 90 minutes.
