Holiday Sea of Trees

‘Tis the season to deck the halls with boughs of holly – and more than 20 Christmas trees! Everything is illuminated during the annual Holiday Sea of Trees, featuring themed trees decorated by local organizations. The magic takes place from November 27 to January 4 on the main exhibit floor, where the trees’ lights reflect off the exhibits’ glass to create a bright and festive atmosphere.Free with aquarium admission: Adults , seniors , children (ages 3 to 17) , free for children 2 and under. Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., last admission at 4 p.m.
The Season’s Splendor: A Victorian Village Holiday Ride

Bundle up your family, gather up your friends and come to Mystic Seaport for a ride on a horse-drawn carriage. Enjoy the famed Mystic Seaport holiday decorations as you ride along the scenic Mystic River and through the Museum’s historic village streets. End your scenic ride in the Museum’s historic Thomas Greenman House where you’ll create a holiday craft and enjoy a sweet holiday treat. You may even catch a glimpse of a jolly old elf! Create and Share an Ornament

Lantern Light Tours

Immerse yourself in an all-new tale of the magic, merriment and mystery of Christmas Eve, 1876.Stroll through a festival holiday village, kick up your heels in a tavern dance and visit with sailors in port for the holiday. You may even spy a jolly old silver-haired fellow… could that be ol’ St. Nick? Lantern Light Tours are scheduled primarily Thursday through Sunday evenings. Each tour is an hour long moving performance and is not recommended for children under four. Reservations are strongly recommended, particularly for Friday and Saturday performances. Tours begin at 5 p.m. and leave every 15 minutes. Handicapped accessible tours are available each evening. Note: If you have difficulty walking or require the use of a wheelchair, please notify the ticketing agent when making your reservation so that proper accommodations may be made for you. Festival Of Trees

The Festivals of Trees is an event held for the past six years by the Downtown New London Association (DNLA) to help raise money to feed needy families during the holiday season. December 5, 2009 we auction the decorated Christmas trees to the highest bidder. The DNLA will deliver the decorated Christmas trees to the winning bidders’ homes the next day. Proceeds from the auction were donated to the New London Community Meal Center and were used to provide holiday meals to local families. For more info or tickets call neff Productions at 860-443-3786
