CFPA seeks donations to help preserve Connecticut’s hiking trails
Connecticut has over 800 miles of Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails
The Blue-Blazed Hiking Trail System currently totals over 800 miles of hiking trails in 88 Connecticut towns. The trails are maintained by dedicated volunteers who contribute approximately 7,500 hours to trail work every year.
The trails live only because Connecticut Forest and Park Association (CFPA) members and friends give their financial support as well as their time and talent. The Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails are the best maintained, largest trail network in Connecticut. They are a treasure given to us and future generations by CFPA, civic-minded landowners and hundreds of caring trail volunteers.
The CFPA is currently seeking donations for their Annual Fund, which helps to keep these trails alive. Donations can be made by by visiting cfpa.org or by calling (860) 346-2372.
