DERBY, CT – The holidays are a time of joy and celebration. Good cheer and festivities abound. But for persons who are experiencing the loss of a loved one, the holidays are not the same.

Griffin Hospital’s Bereavement Program is sponsoring a two-part session on “Coping With Grief During the Holidays” on November 17 and December 10. Both sessions will be held from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Griffin Hospital.

The November session will focus on understanding how to cope with the holidays, with tips for taking care of ourselves throughout the season.

The December session will be a Blue Christmas Service, which is designed to provide a spiritual opportunity to reflect on the reality of the season for those who are dealing with the grief of loss.

For more information, or to register for one or both sessions, please call the Pastoral Care Department at 203-732-1100.
