May I have your attention please, attention please! Don’t let your summer pass by without being part of a great tradition. Bring your family to see live theater and support a great organization at the same time. Gary and Fran Scarpa are producing another spectacular Broadway musical at Shelton Intermediate School at the end of July. It is a great and affordable cultural opportunity right here in Connecticut.

The classic American musical, Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man” follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – this despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. Hit songs include “76 Trombones,” “Till There was You,” and “Ya Got Trouble”!

Show times are Friday & Saturday July 24th & 25th at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 25th at 2:00 p.m., and Thursday Friday & Saturday July 30th, 31st, & August 1st & 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $20, and can be obtained by calling 203-924-2622.

Center Stage and The Youth CONNection are a non-profit (501 ( c) (3)) based in Shelton, CT. Gary and Francesca Scarpa have been directing young adults for over 30 years. Center Stage can also be accessed at : www.centerstageshelton.com.
