International Festival of Arts & Ideas coming back to New Haven

The 14th annual International Festival of Arts & Ideas will be taking place in downtown New Haven from June 13th to June 27th, 2009. The Festival has brought artists, musicians thinkers, poets, music, dancers and theater groups from around the world to the downtown area every year since 1996, attracting thousands of visitors from across the country.
The majority of this year’s events will be free to the public and will include performances of some of the most prestigious opera, jazz, symphony, rock, folk and fusion music in the world. Highlights of this year’s program includes the U.S. premier “Circus” by the Barabbas Theater Company of Ireland, and a free concert by the Grammy Award winning band They Might Be Giants.
