New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade
Born in New Haven on March 17, 1842, the Greater New Haven Saint Patrick’s Day Parade has become Connecticut’s largest single day spectator event, and is currently the 6th oldest parade in the nation. Be sure to stop downtown from 1pm to 4pm for one of the best parades in the northeast!

Here’s a quick guide to some of the best post-parade entertainment in the area:

Anna Liffey’s | 17 Whitney Avenue |
The best pint and the oldest pub in New Haven. Doors open at 9am . Come in for breakfast for a bit of ‘soakage’ before you start your day of drinking. The tent is bigger this year and the entrance will be located on Grove Street.
In the tent:
3pm – AlternaTrad
6:30pm – The Mickey Finn’s Band
Both bands are out of NYC and play fast paced rocking Irish music. The best corned beef sold all day!!
